Panasonic claims this can be done for a fee, which in 2009 was about $500 I believe. Any way of doing this outside of the USA? I'm in Australia. And yes, my second HPX is a 170 ( NTSC )
You'd have to ask Panasonic Australia about it; I don't recall if any other divisions ever offered an upgrade path. If your second HPX is a USA model HPX170P, then the USA factory would probably do it for you, but you'd have to ship it to them and probably have to have a USA address for them to ship it back to. But I'd start by asking Panasonic Australia.
