One of my Avids (5.0.3 with Adrenaline) computers days are numbered. I get errors & crashes every time I edit, which are minor annoyances. Its a HP xw8200 which Avid no longer supports. Im thinking of buying a Z400 from a VAR on ebay, and moving to windows 7. I would keep the systems and wiring in place and just swap out the computers.
I realize I'll need to reinstall Avid on the new system and move the dongle over. Can anyone offer advice about how smoothly this goes or if there are hidden "gotcha's".
