"Upgrading" HVX200E

Hi!

To cut the story short: It would be nice with a better noise/low-light performance and such.

I have felt slightly cheated ever since I got the camera a couple of years ago. The HVX was incredible hyped. If someone had a bad word to say about the HVX, Barry was there instantly, hyping the camera even more.

It's a reliable camera, and I like a lot about it EXCEPT the noise wich is about the noisiest prosumer camera I've ever seen! Even Barry Greens Bootcamp DVD's are crawling with noise. I know there is a 1000 threads about the HVX noise out there, but It still bothers me a lot.

Bright sunny days, carefully lit studio shots, the noise is still there. And the higher resolution the worse it gets. I have recently discovered that I get less noise on my HD-TV by shooting PAL SD DVCpro50 than 720p/1080i. So much for HD and pixelshifting.

Im very dissapointed in Panasonic who released the camera too early, and then solved the "noise issue" by releasing new "upgraded" cameras. I mean, how lame can you get?

Can you put the firmware from the HVX200A or HPX into the HVX200?

I know that Panasonic has stated that the CCD:s are upgraded, but I wouldn't be surprised if they just upgraded the software to sell more cameras...
