Upgrade question

Hi,

I’m just curious, how is this upgrade performed? Via firewire, SD memory or changing something inside the camera?

Two weeks ago I received my camera with the “latest” software from JVC New Jersey Service center (at that time), but the camera doesn’t have any “A” on it, I don’t know how to check the firmware version on the camera anyway… does any body know how to do it?

Is this upgrade just a software update in the camera?
Does anybody has seen how this software/firmware upgrades are performed?

If you do not have an "A" on it then you'll have to send it in. About how they do it for the "A" version I have not heard.
 
I doubt that. The fixes are more comprehensive, I believe. Actually the instructions clearly say: save your settings on your SD card and then remove it from the camera before you send it in. I did. Are you saying you got your camera back and it had a new SD card in it?

Yes. That's correct. I thought I had left mine in there, but when I returned home, I had two.
