This new eye cup showed up tonight and it looks like a winner. Doesn't fall off like the original design. My rig is all broke down so I can't fully test it out yet, however I did smash it up against my face and it feels fine. It's also supposed to be safer in the sun. The center of the eye cup is covered with more rubber than the original version. Not sure how that will stop the sun from burning the LCD but I'm sure they tested it.
 
Did you get it for free? They also sent out that bundle email notice, which I snapped up. Definitely worth the $35...
 
I contacted them a few weeks ago about the eye cup falling off a lot and they told me a new version would be coming out soon. Then the mail man should up with it.

I ordered the bundle as well. It's a good deal.
 
Hmm, I contacted them about it too, days after it came out. No freebie, but no big deal unless I mangle this new one coming in.
