Just did a 2 minute cut (will be 4 minutes when completed), and it's still missing some shots (follow the title cards)...

Two Minutes

Some edits at the end will be changed when the footage is in place.

The video: The shots look awesome. I like the dolly work also. The lighting seemed to compliment the feel of the song. The song: If I never see another whiney emo kid who spends more time on his hair then most chicks I know, it will be too soon. They cry, then scream, followed by a heavy riff and a clean bridge. Gets very old. Congrats on the video though. I personally think it looks awesome!

Thanks dude, I agree wholeheartedly about the emo thing ...it's ridiculous. But if not for them, us young'ns wouldn't have a chance to do music videos...well we could, but when they fall in your lap, it's easy.

Is there anything in there that shouldn't be? I've heard complaints about the two people crossing on the bed near the end, and I think I'll rip that out of there...just because if people say it's bad, it probably is.

Hey I really like what you have so far .. very cool. And yes, we all hold out hope that the lost emo kids will someday look up from the ground, take off those non-perscription glasses, and crank out some hardcore ;-) But hey, I like a little Get Up Kids and Saves The Day just like everyone else!

Okay ... on a serious note. I would love to have seen a bit more light in the bedroom scenes. The room was fine dark, but the band needed to be popped ... just a bit more. 350-500k lights focused on their faces would do the trick, or even some flood lights from Home Depot. The jumping across the bed looked a bit too intentional. I think it could look cool, but a little more raw (can something be "more raw" or does it need to be "less ...something").

Anyway ... keep up the good work!

Not bad I like to color kind of dark but it looks good. The only thing that drove me nuts was some of those scenes were the gril guitar player kicks and then some of the full body shots of the band jumpping it felt like that broke up the flow.
Oh and nice work on the dolly shot.

The girl guitar player is the most awkward looking performer I have ever seen...however, she is the lead singers girlfriend, so it's damn near impossible to show less of her without hearing it from him.

So I obliged his requests to put more of her in...why not?

And yeah, it is pretty dark, but I still like it the way it is.

I dont think I'd direct something I didn't like even a little bit.

whats the point.

I liked it, its good. drummer looks too dark but after my last attempt at lighting which i TOTALLY messed up Im not gonna comment.

Because, as I have said earlier, it sort of fell in my lap.

I was interested in doing a music video, the band gave me the song and a video concept and we agreed to do it.

It's all for the demo reel.
