UPDATED: FUNNY FOTOS & LOGOS

Re: UPDATED: FUNNY FOTOS & LOGOS

Thanks John. I'm thinking about putting a book together called, "Culture Shocked!" It would have a bunch of these photos in it, along with some short stories.

That is genuinely a great (and sellable idea). You should run with it P.K.

Re: UPDATED: FUNNY FOTOS & LOGOS

PK, I don't if you've seen a video called "Shocking Asia". You should check it out if you haven't seen it yet. It makes your pictues look like Disney stuff. Pretty disturbing.

Re: UPDATED: FUNNY FOTOS & LOGOS

i've seen the video on the store shelves, but was never interested in seeing it. Things are far more interesting when it's not on tv. (This coming from someone who loves to make videos.)

Re: UPDATED: FUNNY FOTOS & LOGOS

I have this one from when I was in England a few years ago. There was this store call "Super Drug" and I was standing under the sign pondering the possiblities.

I was editing this wedding I am working on from this Catholic Church (This is not meant to be offensive to Catholics, My step-father & Grandfather were both Methodist Preachers, and I am ordained, to perform Weddings for a local wedding chapel when they need a male minister)
Anyway, the Wedding was full mass, not being catholic I had no clue what was going on because there was all these rituals and things going on I didn't know what to expect. The priest was praying over the communion and kept lift stuff up and kneeling. for some reason I kept going back and forth and it caught my Eye. About the same time a thread got and I aske how they did the motion Avatars, got some direction and did it in Image Ready. It is my first motion avatar I have done.

It also keeps Bluespider and TC on best behaviour. ;)

Re: UPDATED: FUNNY FOTOS & LOGOS

I saved a clip as bitmaps, like 10 seconds, was about 300 stills, I pulled them into into Photoshop and chose about 19-25 frames and the different positions and then moved them all onto one image as layers, the top layer being the first image I wanted to play the bottom the last.
Here is the help instructions on creating web animation, it is a little long.

In Photoshop, create an image you want to animate. Include a single layer for each static element. Create multiple layers for moving elements. Each layer for a moving element should represent its position at a different point in time.
Save the file, and choose File > Edit in ImageReady. The ImageReady application opens and displays the image.
Click the Animation tab to bring the Animation palette to the front or, if the palette isn't open, choose Window > Animation. ImageReady creates the first frame of the animation.
Click the Layers tab to bring the Layers palette to the front or, if the palette isn't open, choose Window > Layers. Arrange the Layers palette and the Animation palette so that you can view at least some of the document window and both palettes.
In the Layers palette, make sure the correct layers are visible and hidden for this first frame. Click the eye icon to hide a layer or the empty eye column to show a layer.
Click the Duplicate Animation Frame button at the bottom of the Animation palette to add the next frame. In the Layers palette, adjust the visibility of layers as needed for this frame. Continue to add new frames and hide or show their layers as appropriate.
When you have created all of the animation frames, click the Play button at the bottom of the Animation palette to preview the animation. Click the Stop button to stop it.
If the animation is moving too quickly, select a specific frame whose display time you want to adjust, or select all the frames to change their display time uniformly. Then, click the arrow next to 0 sec. at the bottom of a selected frame, and choose the desired time from the pop-up menu.
To set how many times the animation loops, choose Other from the pop-up menu on the bottom left-corner of the Animation palette (it defaults to Forever). Enter a value for Play, and click OK.
When you are satisfied with the animation, save the file. It is important to first save the file using the Photoshop format. The Photoshop format preserves all components of the button and allows you to make changes later if necessary. Once you have saved it as a PSD file, you can optimize the animation for the Web and save it in the GIF format, the format needed to display the animation on the Web.

Re: UPDATED: FUNNY FOTOS & LOGOS

Tx boda . . . no offence intended but being a Catholic myself I was wondering were this could have gone due to the nature of some other avatar histories

The ritual is simply the priest geneflecting (Kneeling in respect/worship) before the Sacrament of comunion in the bread and wine. It is one of the most holy moments in the entire Catholic Creed.

The avatars should be taken with a grain of salt and not too seriously.

If they had sound I would use one of these links for my avatar.  We actually played these at our church for the youth.
