Hello,

Just posting an updated demo reel featuring some new footage!

For those of you who have seen the last reel, the new stuff is basically the 35mm (Arri 35-3 MKIII) music video that I operated on for a fellow talented DVXUser cinematographer, Chayse Irvin. It's the b-boys, hot girls, and guy smoking footage.

Wow Norm, I like it alot! Very well paced. I watched it a few times and really enjoyed it.

Want to make mine for me? LOL
 
I liked the music alot.....and there were some really great shots.....edting was at a nice pace.....good demo.
 
Holy Cow that rocked. Very awesome footage, editing, music. The stepping in the puddle... awesome. Had to watch that many times. I want to see more of that last shot of that guitar at the very end! Can we see more of that/ is it up somewhere?
 
Hey Norm, I know it's kind of asking too much here, but do you think you could tell us which of that footage was shot with a DVX?

agressive dialog between a couple: dvx

old lady putting lipstick: not dvx

tenis steping wate: dvx
guys cheering: not dvx
girl with piercing: dvx
guys breakdancing: not dvx
guy with blood on it's hands: not dvx (tough one)
rappers in a car: not dvx

some (many) of them are hard to tell (which is a really good sign)

Now let us have it! Which ones are dvx?
 
For the most part you are correct but there were some boo boos in there! I'm most suprised of mistaking DVX with Super35mm ....TWICE! :grin:

I would say all hail Norm.
Just goes to show you what a person can do when they know what they're doing.
It's less about the DVX than it is about the talent of the person behind it.

You know what, that is very true...not so much about me but about whoever the DOP/operator is behind the camera and how they use it properly. DVX doesn't always look good...

Well Norm. It's the man behind the camera that makes it so.

Norm, you are a true artiste. Your work is inspiring. I've been watching your reel come togther for a few years now and am blown away at your growth. You are destined to work in the insdustry ! Bravo !

I gotta get out and shoot :undecided You are the difference between the doers and the do-nots.

2 Clips did not jive for me astetically and seemed out of pace (Jarring to me)
