Looks great but you might consider reconfiguring so it will fit an Odyssey 7Q instead if an Atomos product. Might also make sense to leave room for a pro power solution like V-mount or Anton Bauer

thanks. yea the Odyssey 7Q works in the housing. for the V-mount you need a bit more space maybe by the next one.

What are the chances you might build one of these in Aluminum? Aluminum is such a great heat conductor and that's important underwater to prevent fogging and also to dissipate all the heat that builds up from the camera and monitor.

i test the housing a lot in brasil by temperture 40degree the water was as well really warm, 4hours in 240p and was no frogging also her in germany is the water temperture 10degree and in the housing arround 15degree so its fine no frogging or over heat. We build also water housing for the RED Epic/Scarlet and there need good aluminium conductor.

Thanks for the info. What lenses is it made to work with. I saw you said the controls work to 50ft. Is the housing capable of more or is that the rating? Also what kind of buoyancy does it have?

housing works almost with every lenses EF, Nikon and Sony the good thing on the baseplate is thats focus or zoom gear wheel variable is. the controls goes of course deeper over 100ft but i try right now just in 50ft, so when you want try it out but will be still working.. Yea is a bit buoyancy but not to much the housing is half in the water. pretty light water housing just 3kg

If you have trouble with fogging, tape some dessicant packs down on the inside.
This is highly unlikely to make any difference. If there's enough moisture in the air inside the housing to create condensation, there'll be too much for the desiccant to handle, at least in the time scale if the dive/shoot.

Avoidance is the best strategy, make sure you assemble the camera in a dry environment, eg an air con room, try and avoid moisture and humidity when changing batteries and cards. Temperature equalisation is never likely to happen completely, even with an ali housing, the camera will naturally heat up the inside of the housing to higher temps than the water.

I take a hair dryer with me when I can, on the few occasions I've had condensation I simply give the interior a careful blast of hot air to dry if out.
