Update on HVX

I had an enormous (to me) problem a couple of weeks ago with my HVX. I posted here about error messages and so forth. Jan Crittendon as well as Jim Fast at Panasonic repair here in L.A. and Alan Ruppert at Armato's in N.Y. really really stepped up to the plate to replace my camera as quickly as possible. I just got word from Alan that my new camera is being shipped today and should arrive Thursday. Which is great, because I go to South Dakota with it on Friday. Jim Fast gave me a "loaner" for testing and a commercial shoot that I had this past weekend. Overall I could not be happier with the service from all involved.
Thank you to all.....

I received the HVX a full day ahead of schedule. Thank you Jan, Jim, Alan and all of the Panasonic people involved. Turned the camera on and tested it within minutes. I'm happy as a "clam".

I just bought my HVX from Alan at Armato's today!!!! I'm so excited, and glad to hear that they are really good people! I too can finally be a real HVX (DVX)USER! sweet!

Just to add to your story, I had a situation about 7 or 8 years ago as a tech for a major post production house here in L.A. We had a recurring problem with a particular model VHS pro deck (about 5 grand) We had about 40 of them andf a large number of them exhibited this problem, although it usually occured after about 2-1/2 years of extremely rigorous use ( 40 hours a week of use by impatient sound editors). I got in touch with Pansonic Pro Video and was given an enormous amount of helpful information AND some consideration on reapir bills. It was a far cry from the poor support that most companies give now (Or don't, like my friends at Macintosh)

I have had nothing but positive experiences through the years with Panasonic...Keep up the good work...And thank you for making a great camera.

It's nice to know we have such an asset as Jan here on the boards.
While I hope I never have an issue with my HVX, it's nice to know they are so responsive.
