up-rezzing to High Def ?

Bought your book and DVD - am still enjoying and learning from it. Thank you for the work that went in to it!

Another question here about the anamorphic adapter - specifically your reference to "up-rezzing to High Def" . . . when using the anamorphic adapter.

Where can I get some in-depth reading on what this is exactly? I can only find your reference to it (like on page 123), but I want to know what is this process and its results in actual resolution.

How does this differ from Disjecta's work?

Can I use this process (up-rezzing to High Def) when my intention is to author everything to DVD and when having a lot of material (60+ minutes on the DVD) to render and author?

thanks in advance for your help.

Re: up-rezzing to High Def ?

If you're authoring to DVD, there's no point in up-rezzing to high-def, because DVDs are all standard-def.

Up-rezzing to high-def can be done by hardware, or in software using a tool like PhotoZoom Pro, although that's a fairly inconvenient way to do it (because it doesn't handle video files, just batch processing of individual stills).

Re: up-rezzing to High Def ?

maybe I shouldn't use the terms "higher resolution" and "high definition" as interchangeable. They're not are they?

Again, I guess my goal is to get "higher resolution".
