up res from dv?

We'll wait until you get back.

I've already posted some things for you to look at. YOU need to make the determination as to what will work best for you based on the cost and your tastes.

Ok...

Hard to tell. I'll try some different light level shots.

These were all converted to DVCProHD 720 and are shown at ACTUAL SIZE in QT.

Upper LEFT - Red Giant Instant HD - I did crank the sharpness a bit from the default. I assume the flying pixels are RG's demo hoogie.
Upper RIGHT - Compressor
Lower LEFT - After Effects
Lower Right - DV

Link doesn't work, by the way someone PM'ed me and said to up rez like this:

Go to audio/video settings change the sequence preset to dv ntsc 48khz (assuming you are using 30/60fps) after you edit the video together. Then go back to audio/video settings and change it to whatever you want for hd (I shoot 24pA so I use the ProRes 422 1280x720 24p) and create a new sequence. Copy/paste you whole timeline over and then scale one clip to fit, and then copy/paste the attributes throughout the rest of the timeline.

How well does that method work?

Like I said... it is ALL a matter of slight degrees.

YOU have to try the different methods. I don't have time to try everything you want. Though changing sequence settings AIN'T gonna get it done.

And you can use dv/ntsc 48k for 24pA material... I do it all the time. What ELSE could it be?
