UPDATE: Here is the TV trailer/promo for the movie:

Hello all,
Here's a BTS video for a tv original movie I shot in November, premieres on December 15th:

tech specs:
Sony F3 SLog
recorded with Pix240 @ Prores4444

The BTS crew shot on an EX3. hopefully, it's obvious which shots are BTS and which are movie clips! Once they post a promo/trailer for the movie, I'll add it here.

Thanks guys!

The lens package:
Angenieux Optimo 15-40
Zeiss CP2s
Zeiss Standard 180mm
Canon (converted) 300mm

lighting package:
Pretty minimal, mostly all tungsten units under 2K, Kinos, and 2 HMIs (1.2K, 575w). My main keylight was normally 2 Kino 4x4s through Bed Bath and Beyond cloth curtains/shower curtains. The plan was to light through unbleached muslin, but the truck I got did not have any, so I purchased some trusty curtains.
I'd say I was not able to control the windows all too well. The S-Log really saved me with the highlights.

Looked good! But please let us know when there´s a trailer or sth longer to see, the BTS parts are kind of distracting... ;)

George, there's been a lot of discussion on ways to get clean images out of the F3 lately.
Your trailer looks pretty free of grain/noise. Care to share some thoughts?

Bill,
To be honest, I haven't had an issue with the F3 noise in SLog, so I don't have any special magic sauce that I use. I don't know if the web video is the best judge of the actual noise in the image, it looks pretty compressed to me.

Understood. Do you expose S-Log at Sony's recommendation of 37% reflected off a gray card, or have your own method?

I try to expose for middle grey at 38% using the spot meter. on the slog movies i've shot, i'm mainly high-key with a low-contrast lighting ratio, so there isn't much underexposure to begin with.
