The equipment I am using is as follows...
5dmkII
Zeiss ZE 85mm 1.4 Lens with Zacuto ZipGear
Chrosizel DV Follow Focus
... when I focus, the torque of focusing the lens with the follow focus appears to either pull down or push up on the lens creating a vertical up-and-down movement in the frame.
I have pushed the follow focus gear tight to the lens gear and left a little space between the teeth to see if that helps - neither scenario changes the movement.
Am I missing something? This movement does not occur when I simply use my hand to focus the lens. I have used old Nikon lenses on a 35mm adapter without this issue, but these Zeiss ZE lenses are really stiff - more like a real cinema lens.
Anybody have any suggestions to eliminate this unwanted movement?
Thank you.
