Unwanted frames after speed-up effect...

This is strange, when I make a speed-up effect(timewarp) with progressive material in a interlaced project, and I make a mpeg2 out of it, I see unwanted frames from other shots in the last part of the speed-up effect, think it is the second field, because in Avid I don't see it.

Like in media composer, is there an option to fiew second field?

Do anyone know how to solve this strange problem?

I don't think you have the ability to see the second field but it may very well be there since the speedup process needs to grab material to make it fit the desired length as well as analyze the pixels for the vectors.

You can step through the QuickTime reference movie you made and you will be able to see both fields as a full progressive frame. Or export a TIFF file for the frame you are questioning.

You'll have better luck doing it in AE or using 3-Prong's SpeeDRamp. Much better reults than timewarp or motion effects.
SpeedRamP has a slow render time compaired to motion effects or time warps but there is no compairing the quality.

I hate to go to an third party app for making a slow motion, certainly when you have to adjust the ramp or slow motion.

I just have looked at the sample on the 3prong site, it don't look smoother then timewarp effects.

It is though. Much much better looking results. Just takes longer.
Time remapping in AE doesn't take as long and the results again are better looking than what Avid alone provides.

you can view the second field by holding down ALTusing the 1 and 2 keys at the top of the keyboard. only works in non-progressive projects.

Happy Editing!
