"Untitled" (My first time posting something here...)

Okay, this is the second short film I made for my production class last fall. The assignment was to do some sort of documentary, which could take the traditional route of following a subject and getting interviews, etc., or we could also do a more free-form, experimental style in the vein of films like Koyaanisqatsi. I decided to do the latter! This short takes its cues from the above-mentioned film as well as our forum's very own Disjecta, whose work with the DVX was definitely a big inspiration to me.

The site I'm linking is a new production company I'm doing with friends, and eventually we'll all have our work up on the site for viewing.

Looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks - comments, criticisms, and so on are welcomed... Thanks for watching.

Story of Yesterday: Modify instead of posting back-to-back. Oorah!

No! You had some great night shots. All were static, except the moon shot. If that one was still, the composition would have been even better!

Oh, and around 0:43... do I spy a FINGERPRINT on the LENS? Haha. Careful with that.

Some wonderful images. Good music. Nice short!

That was beautiful Oedipax. Really enjoyed the footage with the music.
Maybe you should have used a tripod for more of your shots.
But that was really relaxing and inspiring!

haha, actually. i needed my 100 posts... so i stretched them out a bit. it's been a while since i posted anything here becuase i've been so busy with the Corps. i'm actually a Marine now... have to change that thing...

Ah! You scared me for a second with the fingerprint comment, so I had to go and check - it's happened before, although I'm usually cautious. But in that particular shot, it's actually a spiderweb on the fence. It doesn't quite come through in the shot though, I don't think, it just ends up being a little distracting.

Agreed re: the moon shot. It is mostly a result of my laziness and the difficulty of getting my tripod in position where it can look up at the moon. I have since gotten some nice static moon shots though that I might use in something else.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and feedback.

Very nice !!
The first moon shot was distracting..I did like the shots of the mist ...the reflection of the trees and sky in the water ..And as above the ant on the leaf . This was enjoyable and the music was perfect ..Well done.
