Untitled Cory Braun Green Screen Project

I am filming a 30-60 sec. ad using a green screen for my compositing class. I am making the ad for a "machine-gun leg" as seen in Planet Terror. I'll be filming sometime early next week. I am using combustion for my compositing and filming it with a stock DVX100b.

Anyone have any suggestions for the settings for the camera when filming with a green screen?

Will I benefit from filming my actors in front of the green screen in 24p? Most of the stuff I am keying in will be still (I'll either film it, take a picture with dslr, or find stuff on the internet). If so, does it make any difference if I film it with 24p or 24pa (I know the differences between the 2, but does anyone have any reason why I should film it one or the other?)

Anyone who films with the green screen or does a lot of compositing have any other suggestions?

I'll post stills and clips and the final product as time goes on.

I can't answer your question about 24p or 24pa as far a green screen goes but I do have some feed back.

The one thing that I could notice (even over youtube) is that you could increase the contrast on your background pictures to match your actors better. The first shot with the doctor and the third shot passing by the houses are the ones that caught my attention. The contrast of the actress is very nice but the homes and the sky are very washed out. Increase the contrast to match the rich black on the girl. It will also add to the gritty feel.
The only other thing that caught my attention was the machine gun leg. It could use some fine tuning on the match motion when she is walking.
I wonder what movie inspired this piece. Good work.
