"unsound" - A film shot on the GH2

Hey Guys,

I've just wrapped production on my latest film. It's titled "unsound" and was shot on the GH2 in one day this past weekend. It'a no budget project, and am hoping to tour some festivals with it... And hopefully eventually shoot a feature length version.

The GH2 truly came through... I can't say enough about that camera. The entire film was shot on the 20mm pancake lens.

Looks great, love the colours, very moody. Looks like you have some talented actors there.

Honestly I have no excuses now about the hardware let me down, whole film on just the 20mm pancake !!!

Would love to hear your detailed opinions on the GH2

In terms of the camera itself it is truly a pleasure to work with. Out of every camera I have ever shot on it is unquestionably my favorite. Before purchasing this camera I primarily shot on my HMC150 (although I've shot a lot on the 5d/7d, many other dslr's and other formats) but in comparison to the HMC150 specifically it really is in a class of its own. Of course the HMC has it's advantages and would be best suited for other types of projects. But for something narrative this camera made things so easy. I was so used to having to over light scenes and spend way too much time setting up shots because I was afraid I'd have too much grain or noise on the footage from my HMC. With the GH2, having the flexibility to light the scene however I wanted and not worrying about noise was one of the best things about the process. Of course many dslr's would have the same benefit, and some more so than the Gh2 (5d). But no DSLR I've ever shot with has been as all round of a great camera as this one.

Also, I have to say any noise that comes off this camera at low iso's looks great. This camera really has the filmic quality to it that I've been looking for.
