Unresponsive A7S?

Last night while doing a time-lapse my camera completely froze. Even on/off button didn't work. I had to take battery out in order to restart it. All footage was lost, but camera seemed to work fine after that.

I hope this is just an time-lapse application glitch and not something that actually happens when filming. Did anyone else experience something similar?

I also had that problem a couple of times, but was due to the lens and metabones that are not compatible. Then I need to remove and click lens and metabones + remove battery before continuing. I lost a couple of shots due to this.

I've done quite a few timelapses with that app and not seen any problems like that. I'm not using metabones, just normal adapters so as Polaroid22 says, perhaps there's a connection issue.

cheers

Even though I use Canon glass with Commlite adapter this happened when I had Sony E PZ 18-105mm on it. For the record all functions and buttons on camera froze only thing that was actually still working was live view.

the timelapse app is the problem!!! now I use a timer-remote(15$ on ebay) and I don't have problem anymore
