I loaded in a piece of panasonic ay-dvm83 pq today and ran a test recording before my job. upon playback, i got a choppy image and the warning on the screen that said unrecognizable tape format.
I ejected, ran tests on 4 other new pieces, all played back fine. Went back to the original tape, made a test once again, and it played back fine.
I have over 300 hours on the heads and always use this 83 minute stock in Long Play and have never encountered this.
Anyone else had this problem?
