Unhacked PAL GH1 - pulldown

I could be totally wrong here but I think that I read somewhere that the PAL version of an unhacked GH1 does not need pulldown when filming in the 1080 avchd format. Can anybody confirm that for me?
 
because it is 25p in 50i, dropping it into a 25p timeline does not require pulldown, nice even whole numbers? its when you shoot in ntsc that is 59.so and so, getting it down to 23.so and so is alot trickier hence the pulldown.

this is my limited understanding.
 
Nope, the PAL GH1 doesn't need any pulldown.


Make sure you don't deinterlace though (if the final project is going to be progressive), so that you keep as much resolution as possible.
 
I hadn't been here for months and when reading this thread I didn't know about the hack yet so I had no clue what he meant :-)

What do you mean by "interlaced" and "progressive"?? I'm new to all of this and I am still getting used to the terminology.
