Here it is, my very first short shot on a dvx100e! (been waiting for this moment for years) :cheesy:

Now this movie was shot entirely by me, and the shooting time was 3 days.

(sorry about the slow server)

pretty cool, i like the "jibberish" dialogue, i guess this way you can subtitle whatever later. pretty cool compositing as well, with what and how did you do it?

Ouch, that was a long download.

I liked the look of it a lot. It reminded me a lot of saving private ryan... the desaturation. The gibberish, especially at the part with the bomb kind of distracted me.

It seemed like the kids really enjoyed themselves though. I bet that was fun to shoot.

Thanks, and yeah, its all shot on a PAL cam, but remember, on a DVX100E, not a DVX100AE :D

Originally, I was going for a "24 look" on it, but decided to go my own way on the color balances and contrasts.

Well, the "jibberish dialouge" is actually my own native language, norwegian, with a south-west dialect.

I did absolutely all the editing in Vegas 5.0, using levels, color balance, color corrector, gaussian blur for the ending scenes, and saturation for the action scenes.

Is it possible to make a .mov version. I can't download .wmv, but the screen grabs above are great, especially the first one.

If I manage to export a .mov file in an acceptable file size.. yes! But can anyone direct me to a tutorial or something on how to make small .mov files? They seem to be very hard to compress well.

Glad that you like the grabs :)

Had a semi-girlfriend from Oslo. LOVED to hear her talk, even if I didn't understand a word of it.

(Still waiting on the download...at 11% right now...)

crazy stuff. I actually liked some of the muzzle flashes at the end in the gun fight. The dramatic music was a bit much at the beginning especially where he is getting ready in front of the mirror. some wierd cuts in there near the end. The blond is asking where the bomb is and it just cuts to black for a second and than back to the action. And than a second later he is looking at the bomb. You should have rubbed charcoal on his face to show signs of a blast on him. Good stuff, it was fun to watch

Yes, we were supposed to rub charcoal or something in his face, but you know what its like, mothers don't like that stuff, and it would get me into lots of trouble.
