Underwater housing for DVX100

[RobbySonic]

Hey guys/gals,

I'm just wondering if there is such a thing as an underwater housing for the DVX 100. And does anyone know has this ever existed?

I think they have them for the sony 3CCD models(VX2100/PD170). I saw some great ocean footage from an indie shot I believe with the VX2100 cams couple of years ago. I'm looking to get one for a possible underwater scene I will be shooting in late August or early September.

Please if you any links or info regarding a housing for the DVX or even the sony PD150/170 please send them my way.

thanks

On the DVD for OPEN WATER you can see one they made out of a plastic storage bin. Pretty wild, but it got some great shark footage.

DON'T use those bag type things with a glass circle in the front. A friend of mine used one on an HD camera in a pool and the bag opened. You can probably guess what happened there! As water rushed in, $10k worth of camera gear sunk to the bottom of the pool.
