Underwater HD-100U Case

Has anyone built a waterproof case for shooting HD underwater? I'm not sure if there are commercial models available, but I love shooting underwater footage, and building my own case sounds kind of exciting. Just a thought.

LOL....

This is an interesting concept... how would you focus without the cam getting wet. I wouldn't risk a cam like the HD100 underwater unless you have money to burn or unless the gig paid so much that you could cover the extra gear insurance.

giggle ... My wife would kill me if she saw me snorkling with my cams..

I've seen waterproof cases for ENG HD cameras on discovery channel and they didn't look home made... but I don't think there is any for the HD100, not yet.

Well heck, after what Andrew Young went through in Matagascar, who needs a housing? Just throw that sucker in and start shooting :)

I didn't know it was such a laughing matter. I guess stuff like this can look pretty funny...

...but whatever. I guess it's aimed more at sealife video enthusiasts or something. I'd just like to have the option if I needed it. Perhaps someone will release something similar for the HD100 at some point. Maybe the HD100 is just too bulky for something like that. Ah well.
