Underwater Demo Reel

That's some nice footage you have there -- makes me regret that I can't equalize the pressure in my ears and have to settle for snorkeling.

Your footage looks great. Excellent subjects, well lit, steady camera work. Very professional looking. The last shot was my favorite.

Well worth watching.

... oh yeah, and great name for your website too.

Wow,

Thanks for such positive responses. It is great to hear reactions like these, especially on this forum with so many people with so much skill and knowledge. It wouldn't look nearly as good as it does without having spent a lot of time reading posts on this website and interacting with you all.

Look1st,

The footage is a combination of HVX and Sony VX2000. Have a Gates housing for the HVX and an Amphibico for the Sony.

great footage . must have great lights .huge power? what model? did you bring up the colors in post? how about scene file setting ,what frame rate? so many questions.

Thanks Jetaddiction,

No lights used in any of those shots. Ambient all the way. Yes, some color correcting was done in post. Media Composer is my friend. Too many scene file settings to go through them all. Most importantly I listened to a lot of advice on this site about reducing noise. Pedestal and detail coring are best helpers there. All of these shots were in 60i. I am putting together another reel of all 24pn stuff - a lot with variable frame rates. I'll put an update here when I get that posted. Underwater overcrank stuff looks fantastic.

Aloha,
Craig
