Understanding the Focus Chart

Downloaded the pdf of the DVX focus chart. Two questions.

1. Why is one value a percentage?
2. How will this work when at different places along the lens - e.g zoomed in far, half way etc? Won't that throw the focus out totally? Is this chart just for using the lens as wide as poss?

Thanks. Shooting tomorrow and would liek to use it so please reply asap!!!

Re: Understanding the Focus Chart

This is probably dumb (and I should know this by now..) but where did you DL it from?

Re: Understanding the Focus Chart

Don't know exactly - there was a link on the DVX pages somewhere. Anyhow I have emailed it to you now.

PLEASE SOMEONE REPSOND TO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION THOUGH???

Thank you

Re: Understanding the Focus Chart

The distances are accurate regardless of the zoom setting. For wide-angle or telephoto, the same distance is used.

The % refers to the MF readout in the viewfinder.
