So after reading this, can anyone explain why I would want a 18% Grey Card to read 50 on the camera's spot meter? I think I read that in the Light Meter thread, but I feel like somebody thought it should be 50 because it's Middle Gray. I know the camera's spot meter isn't an exact correlation of the IRE scale (or whatever 18% grey is based on) Would it be better to get closer to a 18 or 20 reading on the spot meter?
