Underslinging an Odyssey with Nebtek cage on FS700?

I already have an Odyssey 7Q+ (previously used with an A7S using a Manfrotto ball) and just ordered an FS700R, which will be here later next week. Now, I need to figure out a decent way to mount this thing to the new camera.

The caveat is that I have a Nebtek dual "Sony L" cage on the Odyssey. Currently, I don't have any cage plans for the FS700 itself. At most, it will get rails to support my larger lenses but I don't want to make it any larger then it needs to be.

You can see the cage I'm using for the Odyssey here: https://store.nebtek.com/cages/309-odyssey7-power-cage.html

To my point: the Nebtek cage has a series of screw holes on the top to undersling it (in addition to mounting holes around all other sides). It seems that the best option would be to use these screw threads to mount it to the handle of the FS700. I've spent a fair amount of time researching online for solutions, but so far all I've found is info on mounting using the stock mounting location on it or other displays... nothing underslung. I'm not fond of friction arms as I find them to be too flimsy.

Anyone know of a simple (solid) L-bracket or something that can connect these two (I prefer the monitor to be hanging on the left). I don't plan to use the FS700 on my shoulder, and the monitor also need to pivot up so I can see it while shooting low (doesn't need to pivot any other ways.)

From companies such as Zacuto, Wooden Camera or Small Rig you can get a mount that will attach to one of the 1/4"x20 threads on the camera handle. This mount will have a tube clamp to hold a 15mm rod. You can position it so that an inserted rod could extend out the side, perpendicular to the lens. You could then put a matching clamp on the Odyssey cage to hold the rod.

That's a basic version, but there are many such systems out there. Look for some of the various viewfinder and monitor mounts or EVF arms. You will find that there are many options. Don't forget that the Nebtek cage also has threaded sockets on the sides. Lots of monitor mounts could attach directly to the side that way.

EBay has piles of those clamps too. One thing I might suggest is to get a 19mm clamp for the monitor, and a plastic 19mm to 15mm adapter insert. This way you can set the monitor so it can be rotated without wrecking the rod or clamp. If possible rod clamp should be mid monitor so it balances.
