Last weekend I had the chance to film with my new FS5 properly for the first time. I produce comedy content for my own amusement alongside client work, this was the first time I really had to get to grips with the camera.
I'll be honest, the results were mixed. Mainly due to time constraints at the location I was using, I didn't have enough time to light everything really effectively and also get everything shot. So for some shots I had to make do with the room lighting, which was horrific strip lights and the worst tint of green I've ever seen.
But that said, I was happy with most of the results from the camera. Shot in SLOG2 with cine gamma I was able to get a decent grade for the most part. Coming to the FS5 from an EX1, I've also never graded significantly before and never before in SLOG. A big learning curve on the whole.
So please bare that in mind when you view it, I'm happy to receive constructive criticism but I know it's not the best images ever submitted to your monitor.
