Well it looks like HD-SDI input only at this point... Composite analog in (as in what the JVC puts out maybe in the works, maybe an add-on later..) Otherwise it's awesome. I've been waiting for something like this to appear. In 2 years or less all HD recording will be to disk. Wanna bet?

Panasonic is a big company.
They will adapt and serve the market as it demands.
P2 will most probably be more expensive per Gig than "Hard Drive" based solutions for the next few years.
This is a reflection of the maturity of the Hard Drive technology compared to the current developmental level of Solid State memory such as P2.
BOTH have their place.
Hard Drives have larger capacities while the P2 cards are rugged and fast!
Different animals.....
How's this for a monkey wrench.
There will very soon be solid state "hard drives" that can be hooked up to HD100s and their like and there will be hard drive interface cards for the P2 ports.
