Uncoated Filter

Hello,

I've been using a Tiffen Uncoated Clear Filter (for protection) on my HVX. Under certain conditions I notice reflections and additional lens flair . It is not always noticable when working without an external monitor. Is this to be expected , or is there a better filter to be used? Or do I just go without?

Get a multicoated filter. If you have an uncoated piece of glass in front of the lens, you may wind up with reflected light bouncing off that glass. It will help, but there are some conditions where reflections and lens flare are unavoidable, even with no filter in front of the lens.
