Unclear with DVX White Balance procedures.

I am used to setting the A or B presets with a WB button near the VTR button on larger format sony's. With the DVX I am not sure how to utilize the A and B presets. Auto WB is obvious enough, but I can't seem to create a user preset. What am I missing?

Also, are there standard 3200 and 5600 presets in the DVX or do you have to just go with auto?

Thanks alot.

There is no filter wheel on the DVX like there are on professional ENG cameras, but you set your white balance presets the same way. Flip the switch to the "A" channel and white balance. Once you have done that your white balance settings will remain on the "A" channel until you manually re-white balance. Flip the switch to the "B" setting and you can go through the same procedure.

The 3200k and 5600k presets are available by flipping the white balance switch to the bottome "PRST" position. You can toggle between the two presets by hitting the AWB button on the front of the camera, just below the lens.

Thank you guys. I am definately a strong supporter of RTFM, however I don't have one and if I did I would not have asked.

Switching between the 3200 and 5600 is definately what I was looking for. The custom WB I'll use in a pinch, but I plan on starting with the presets.

Thanks again.
