As mentioned in the official thread, my AF-101 has arrived this morning. :laugh:

It seems to come directly from Osaka

What is in the box:

- the camera
- the eyepiece
- the mic holder
- the remote
- the user manual
- the documentation on CD
- the battery
- the charger
- The AC/DC adapter (this is different than the charger)

The remote is consumer style. In the last pic the remote and the adapter

Now I go to play with the baby

I hope the AC/DC adapter will be two different units here in America like you have Gary. It'd be nice to run off wall power while charging batteries and not limited to either or.

Have fun shooting Gary.

Yes. In the first I was disappointed: two pieces and two power chords. But after I've thought this could be useful because you can charge the battery while you are shooting using the AC adapter. The charger in very small: I have never seen the HMC151 one (I have a 171) but it should be similar and it is similar to the GH1 one. The AC adapter is similar to the external HDD ones. Now battery is under charge so I think that I today I will shoot only indoor and some nocturnals

But before I must wait that the battery is fully charged

I talked to a Panasonic in November and he showed me the separate adapter/charger which is a great improvement instead of one unit. I'll be getting a spare 5400 mAh battery tomorrow or Wednesday and hopefully my camera as well. Can't wait to put my Olympus lenses to use.
 
Congratulations! I am just wondering, why there is mentioned "AG-AF101EJ" on the package.

On P.Blooms Package is As expected AG-AF101E printed.

What is that "J" for?

The manual states: Battery cannot be recharged when the DC cord is connected to the AC adaptor.... bummer

This is true if you have only a device that is charger and adapter at the same time, but this is not the case.
In italian user's manual I cannot read this. Perhaps there are different packages, one with charger/adapter in one single piece and another with charger and separate adapter. I don't know
