Unbelievable Price?!?!?!

Gentlemen,
I am looking at an ad for the dvx 100a for a price of 1559. US.
DigitalLiquidators.com
Will order with Amex tonight unless I hear from anyone not to.

Get 2 for me!!

Seriously....don't buy from them. They are scammers / bait & switchers. You will find that the DVX100a legitimately goes for around $3,000. Anything less than that and you are buying at your own risk.

Try www.evsonline.com

Talk with Rush. He's the sales rep and will give you the lowdown on the DVX. You'll get a US version with warranty, rebate, DVX book, Magic Bullet, 10 tapes, a battery.....all for around 3449. Then a 300 dollar rebate.

I know it doesn't sound as *enticing* as $1559....but you'll won't have to worry about losing that money. It's safe with EVS.

ha ha ha good luck trying to get your money back, when u get a camera with no romete, no lens cap, no viewfinder, no battery, no charger, no software or DVD/book

you'll be stuck with a huge bill, they won't even take your calls, it's a nightmare

if this is for a company go ahead it ain't your problem, but if u are saving your money to invest on this then go to areputable dealer.

this digitalliquidators WON'T even ship your order if u don't buy exta tapes, filters, lens cloth, for ridiculous prices, if u say no I just want the camera, they'll tell u that is on back order and that they'll call u when it comes in, in the meantime they're gonna charge your card and use your money.

try giving them a call you'll see, ask them if it qualifies for the rebate, they hunged up on me when I asked that.

cheers

Here we go again. Can we please get a warning banner ad posted on the home page that boldly shows which dealers to avoid and sends people to reseller ratings.com? It seems like there's a sucker born every minute who could use this advice.

If I thought I could get a DVX100a for $1600, even with no remote, no lens cap, no battery, no charger, and no extras I would still buy it. I already have all that stuff. No viewfinder might be an issue, is that actually separate from the camera?

Future User--

Please don't be too offput by everyone's kneejerk reaction to your question. It's just that, this is a patently gullable trap that does come up pretty often and we'd like to see everyone enjoy the DVX innovation as opposed to being shafted by a Brooklyn mobster. This authoritative discourse was happening ten years ago when I first started reading video magazines and is nothing new today...

So, from a fellow Texan, welcome aboard and hope you enjoy this "filmmaking" thing.
