Unable to Syncro Scan at 50P and 50I

According to my HMC151E PDF manual pages 46 and 47, I should be able to set my shutter to syncro at both 25P and 50p/50I frame rates.I can do this at 25P, but not at 50P/50I.In scene file menus under the syncro speed choice I am unable to navigate to the option for 50.0 even though it is not greyed out.
However, the choice that is greyed out for 25p, (which is default 48.0), can be changed!
My firmware is version :1.21-00-0.00
Please anybody, am I missing something ?

I probably didn't explain the problem very well, but I've found what I was doing wrong. Obviously the syncro speed has to be higher than 1/50 when in 50P mode !
In the scene file menu the syncro scan option at 50P is greyed out until the slider is past 1/50.0 after which the syncro speed can be set.
