Unable to install P2 driver to Vista 64-bit

Hi all!

I get the error message 0xe0000235 when I try to install the P2 drivers to Vista Business edition 64-bit. Anyone know where the problem might be? I've sent emails to Panasonic support three times now, with at least a week in between, but never heard anything back. In short: it's a pain in the behind.

Any help is appreciated!

edit: can someone please just attach the (p2usb.sys v1.7.8.515) driver file to a message here so I can try to install i myself? That is probably not a good idea, but I really want to be able to see my footage in windows.

If Jan Crittenden is here, maybe she could help us get this issue fixed. When I google the error message code, I get up lots of 32-bit/64-bit issues, so this is clearly where the problem lies.

I have had no luck getting the "vista" drivers to work on my new computer, I am getting an audio card error and then my computer locks up. I do not have an audio card in my computer... I'm greatfull for the upgrade to my 16 gig card but still cannot get the other issues worked out yet. HELP!!!

Yep, I just heard back from Panasonic Japan technical support -- the current Vista driver doesn't support 64 bit. They're working on it, but they didn't give me any anticipated timeframe.

wow thanks Barry for looking into this I felt a bit left out in the cold there... Strange I couldn't reach anyone via the Panasonic support page... But I guess they're busy solving problems at least now we know they're fixing it.
