EVA1: Unable to achieve proper Recoil Rig Balance / Use Follow Focus (heavy lenses)

So, this is more of a Zacuto question but i'm a little stumped here.

I've got some heavy glass - Zeiss Milvus. A 2.6lbs 25mm lens is about as heavy as the EVA1. So on the universal VCT baseplate, I've gotta slide this sucker alll the way to the back + mount the camera towards the back on the baseplate. And even then, I'd say the camera is still a little front heavy.

I tried mounting the Atomos on rails on the back to help weight the back more. And it still seems a little front heavy and needs to sit back, but it works.

Ok.

But now we have a new problem - when I try to attach the Z Tornado grip for follow focus and a second handle, I can't seem to get the Zacuto rails to reach back to the focus on the lens, since the camera is sitting so far back, and the focus ring is near the mount point on the Milvus. The rails can't extend backward into and above the baseplate, so it seems.

So here I am, with my over priced and nice Zacuto Rig, and I can't seem to balance it proper or use the follow focus.

Is there a way to extend the gears back further? Any thoughts, other than buy cheaper lighter glass? ;)

Is there anyway to extend the rails back closer to the lens without adding more weight?

I understand I may have to add... even... more... weight... but I'd prefer any other solution to that ;)

Not that I am aware of - maybe hit up Zacuto with a call or email.
