Ummmm, how do I turn on my viewfinder?

Sorry guys, but I must missing something after a long day. What setting do I use to turn on my viewfinder. It's black. How black can it be? None more. None more black.
 
Close the LCD or change the EVF setting in the menu from Auto to ON. Also make sure SDI 24psf is turned off.
 
If the LCD panel is closed, the EVF is on. If the LCD is open, the EVF goes off *unless* you set EVF MODE to ON instead of AUTO. But even then, if HD-SDI output is enabled, the EVF can't be active at the same time as the LCD. You get either EVF+SDI, or LCD+SDI, but you can't have EVF+SDI+LCD.
