Um... This slimy black liquid...?

Another example here, this time it's from the newest Bond (Quantum of Solace):

Thank you for the replies. However, I'm not sure if these products are available in Poland... Any idea how can I make fake oil using more common ingredients?

for a tar like liquid mix .5kg sugar, 2L cola (coke, pepsi, etc.), .5L dark corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. When just about to the right consistency remove from heat and let cool to room temp.

It may take a little practice to fine tune the thickness of the liquid. If the color is too light add instant coffee grounds to the cola and let them dissolve before bringing to a boil.

Edit: the other option if you are so inclined is to simply use black latex paint, like that from a hardware store. It is not as safe as a sugar based solution, but can give nice results and will wash/peel off the talent without too much fuss.

Thank you, seems like what I'm looking for!

Just be damned careful handling it while it's hot. That's a recipe for sweet, sweet napalm...

...the black finger paint you can find at Michael's etc, designed for schoolkids is worth checking out too. It's water soluble and (for obvious reasons) non-toxic.
