That would be a question for you to ask your particular country's Panasonic division. NZ has a Panasonic office in Auckland, and if there's going to be a rebate in NZ, it would have to come from those folks.

The rebate being discussed here is being offered by Panasonic USA to USA residents. It's not from Panasonic Global, it's only from Panasonic USA.

Yeah, I gather. Panasonic NZ are not keen to rebate.
But it's nutty that I could take a free trip to New York to buy one- and have change.
(The NZ listed price is a little over NZ$17.5K- at the current exchange rate, that's more than US$13k. So I could have a nice holiday and stay at the Hilton!)
I know I'd have to organise a US address for the rebate, but I'm a citizen and all my relatives are stateside.
This has got me thinking!
