I KNEW IT! I held out for months thinking they'd come out with a box set soon. Finally, I couldn't wait any longer and dropped $50.00 on the trilogy a few weeks ago. And now bang, the 10 disc collection is out. AniMatrix, trilogy, new behind the scenes footage, scripts, etc, etc: $60.00.

I'm such a consumer :-[

dont wanna sound like an ass but the news has been out for a bit now.
perhaps you can sell it to someone not in the know for 45.

I didn't really like the second one, which led me to not see the third one. But I LOVED the first one.

Yeah, there was actually a 30 minute infomercial on The USA channel last night. "3 payments of 19.95 blah blah"

Part 3 was good fun. Obviously not as cool as part 1. But it still had some very fun moments.

how come no one liked Reloaded. That was actually my favorite one. Revolutions was good but after watching it like twice it gets kinda old.

I tend to agree that people didn't like the second and third Matrix because they didn't understand them. I hope that doesn't sound condesending. I'm included in that list. I enjoyed Reloaded, but I was disappointed in Revolutions until a friend who is infinitely smarter than me explained it in terms I could understand. The explanation started with "Neo is the Jivanmukta." Try googling for that. ;)

Now I really like all three films with Reloaded being my favorite.

In all honesty, I watched Reloaded when I was in one of those moods to just vege out on a film, so I didn't really search for any deeper meaning. Perhaps I should give it another try...

Apparently there’s a lot of misunderstanding regarding the “deeper” meaning within the trilogy. They actually interview philosophers and others in the box set regarding this. Also, Animatrix fills in more gaps (how it all began, origin of more of the characters etc). The more you pick up on the subtleties, the more interesting it becomes. They also just “ran out of time” and didn’t want a LOTR on their hands apparently.

No I’m not a total Matrix geek but I love the films/story. It's one of those rare occasions where someone was able to pull off creating an entire new world on film and make it intriguing imo.

I remember trying to convince myself to like the movie "Dune" and I couldn’t, there was just so much missing or something. You had to do so much research that it stopped being fun at all. Then there's "Star Wars Ep 4" where the origins were explained enough that you didn't care that you missed something and it picked up perfectly (and was just so damn cool).

(Oh wait, I am a freaking geek  ;D)

Well I feel pretty sorry for those who did not enjoy the three movies. I think the story and the movie was just getting better as each release was being anounced.

when are there going to be matrix sequels coming out? i saw something about one or two sequels... but nah.. those couldn't have been real sequels...

I always got bashed for liking all three of them. you know "how could like 2 and 3, they were so bad!!"
but now atleast I know there are people out there who like them all like me :D

I've been waiting for this box set for a while, looks great

I watched the first Matrix and it was darn cool.
I watched the Matrix Reload and it was okay.
I watched the.. wait I haven't seen it yet. I don't know if I will ever find time to watch it. Maybe if some hot chick wants to watch it with me.

Though I loved the visuals and the cool fight sequences but I just coudn't follow any of it. I don't maybe I'm getting old or maybe I'm just dumb.
