Ultimate HDSLR bags

I used to get by with 2 bags. A tiny lowepro that fit my slr with lens and a flash and a big Ogio Video that fit the DVX100 and all sorts of accessories. Now that I got a D7000 with vertical grip i have a dilemma. The small lowepro no longer fits it cause of the vertical grip and the video bag doesnt work cause the main compartment is too big and the camera just flies around in there.
I need 2 bags with the following specs:

1 - small bag - fits dslr with vertical grip and a medium lens on it and has space for a flash. With this bag, i'd prefer a shoulder bag or a sling and should be as small as possible given the requirements.

2 - large-ish full-kit bag. this should fit the same dslr plus 2 lenses (one of which is a 70-200 f2.8), flash, large headphones, audio recorder, mic, a lav in a pelican case and some various accessories. Preference her is for a backpack. Ability to attach a tripod to it is a plus but not a requirement. I also like when the whole bag opens in one shot rather than many different pockets.

So far i really like thinktank bags but they're really pricy. My second choice is tenba - their shootout series seem really nice. Looking for other recommendations and pictures. One of the big problems with online pics is that it's hard to tell whether a pro slr body will fit.

Post pics of your setups and pictures!
Thanks.

I'm surprised no one's replying on this one.. I am leaning towards thinktank bags .. will just have to save up for it.. but am open to suggestion. are there any 'unknown' or ebay brands out there that are surprisingly good?

I like the Lowepro Slingshot 202W Digital SLR Camera Shoulder Bag. It has served me well as my portable bag with couple extras. It fits my T2i with grip and Tamron 28-75 f2.8 and several of my vintage primes.

Which Ogio bag do you have?

For your "large-ish full-kit bag, the Ogio Atiba Mini sounds perfect for you. I highly recommend that bag!

I've been using a Panasonic "DV Cinema" Kata bag, from my DVX100 days. I had two of them, one for the camera and the other for an on-camera light, condenser mics, audio gear, cables, etc. Now, the DVX is in my closet most of the time, and I've re purposed the velcro dividers to house 2 DSLR bodies and a selection of lenses, adapters, chargers, and other things (depending on the shoot). I have a regular DSLR sling bag for things that don't necessarily fit or for overflow items (audio recorder, wireless lav, spare batteries, perhaps a telephoto lens or two), and a pelican style suitcase for shoulder rigs, mounts and fluid heads. Most of the time I get by with just the Kata bag, though.

I am a great fan of the Billingham Packington - I own 3 or 4 of them now

What can you get in..?

Canon 5d+LCDVF + 24-105 + rode video mic + another prime (easy fit)

Nikon D3, 70-200, 20-35, flash in side pocket, 50 1.4 and 55 micro (tight fit)

Sony FS100 and kit lens, nikkor 18mm, nikkor 35-70, some little prime (very tight fit)

You can also get a 15in laptop in them and they are 'handlugguage'

I like the tall design as it is rare for stuff to fall out even if you move with the bag open

The bags zip up properly meaning they pass my 'can you hang it upside down and shake it test'

for large bags i actually prefer backpacks.. I don't like lugging huge amounts of gear on the shoulder, which is why for a shoulder bag I want something as small as possible for just camera + flash and maybe a couple little accessories .. also that billingham is expensive! damn
