Ultimate C300 Handheld Rig For Sale
Paid $3,288.23 for this rig, unbelievable deal at $1350
A bit expensive for a rig but I did say it was the Ultimate. Everything is in excellent condition and ready to ship.
Rig designed to provide all the standard functionality of an ENG/ EFP camera. The first priority was finding a way to reposition the Canon LCD and provide a way to pivot it for low angle and high angle shooting. Replacing the standard top handle provides a 90-degree rod mount, lowers the standard LCD monitor, and provides better balance. The rod mount knob provides drag so the LCD easily stays in place and pivots 90 degrees up/ down. I used two 4.5” 15mm rods with a Micromount rod clamp to make this work with the top handle. The viewfinder can be positioned on either the left & right side of the camera and swings 90 degrees on the Z-axis so I can see it while conducting standup interviews.
The next priority was to take advantage of the C300 viewfinder. I find it comparable if not better than any Betacam viewfinder and did not see any reason to replace it. This means moving the camera body forward and offsetting it to the right for proper camera operation. This puts the camera controls in in the same place as a Betacam. I don’t want to reach back and guess which programmable button I am pushing on the camera body.
The camera can be set down on the ground and sits relatively level. Basically I wanted to do everything I was used to doing with a Betacam using a C300. Includs power distro so you can shoot continuously for about... the rest of your life with an Anton Bauer Gold mount. This is an exceptional way to shoot. To learn more see other notes on the images.
This rig works for the C300 Mk2 but you may not be able to use the top handle. I need to know more about the mounting points.
I am a working pro in the industry, hit me up with a question if you need more information about me.
