UK: Packages lost in post lately... anyone else?

I buy plenty of stuff from eBay etc, and usually works great. However this year I've lost several packages sent from UK (to Sweden), it's rather strange, packages usually arrive within a week. Lost another order worth a hundred GBP that the poor seller had to refund to me through Paypal.

Is there something going on with the UK post (RM) or is the problem down in Europe somewhere? Anyone else experience problems?
