Seems like the upload went correctly, but now the Body Firmware reads : 0.0

Re-ran it by changing the file to GH1__134.bin and it still reads 0.0

Also, am I suppose to see any changes to the menu or display to indicate that there have been any changes made?

This is specifically the "Version Compare" option checked. It sets your camera to firmware '0.0' on purpose. That way the next time you upload new firmware, it can be any version, because any version you load will be higher than 0.0 so the camera will think it's an upgrade.

Absolutely this is a good, good thing.

It also means, if you really want to, you can use the original unhacked 1.32 bin file and your camera is back to Panasonic approved firmware. Of course if you do this and want to hack again you need to tick both Version increment and Prevent version compare.

Also once the hack is done, delete the firmware from the card, to save you having to cancel the firmware updates everyt ime you turn on the camera. At 0.0 any firmware even the one you just hacked the camera with looks like an update.

all the best

My GH1 body now reads V0.0 and I wasn't even using the hack yet. I was prepping for the hack by upgrading from V1.O to V1.32 using the official Panny upgrade. I thought maybe I turned off the camera too soon but it seemed like 5 + min had gone by.
Now it reads as V0.0 ?

once the GH1 has been super transformed into the mighty GH13 the version display will read... body ver.0.0 this is what you want to see :o)

everything else will be the same within the menu settings, there will be no visible change to the menu system...

...just the footage it outputs!

id suggest do a screen recording while hacking if possible or write down what settings you have entered into ptool and keep a little note pad with your settings so you know what bitrate settings the camera currently has installed.

creating a nice little viewable and understandable working system.
