Uh oh!  Zoom seems to be broken.  Help!

Maybe this is normal, but I really doubt that's the case:

Whenever I use the zoom on the handle of the camera, speed "1" zooms slowly, speed "3" zooms quickly, and speed "2" doesn't zoom AT ALL. I will test this more tomorrow, but if I remember correctly, "2" should zoom at a medium speed. Please help!

in the menu you can set to fast, OFF, slow
or fast, medium, slow

i guess you just need to adjust that.
i´d prefer the OFF button, so i can hold the cam while skiing and don´t zoom around with my gloves....;-)

Gah! The DVX manages to trick me once again. As much as I love all the little features, sometimes they're more confusing than helpful; this is the second or third time a "problem" has turned out the be a "feature". Anyhow, thanks for the help, I was borderline freaking out for a little while. And I don't really think the camera is overly complicated; the interface is wonderfully more intuitive than even a gl2, and I find myself using features I'd previously never known existed with surprising frequency.
