I've only just come to the 5D2 for video having used (and still use) professional HD camcorders for all serious work.
I already had several Compact Flash cards from previous Canon cameras, including some Lexar 80x and Transcend 133x. These seem to work perfectly well for video, having used all of them to their max capacity several times over in testing.
So, now I need to buy some more card capacity (about 200GB !!). What reason is there to buy the more expensive UDMA cards over regular 133x CF cards, other than perhaps a quicker offload to computer time?
Since they are twice and three times the price, I'm wondering if I actually need to spend that much, since I do need to buy quite a few cards (I need at least 12 hours recording time without off loading).
If it is mainly offload time, what readers do you recommend than are known to be Mac compatible (prefer firewire, but USB is OK if it's fast) and how much faster are they really?
