U-Tube 1080p vs 720p

Seeing the compression of videos posted on U-Tube, how much difference is there between uploading a 1080p file and a 720p file providing the original was edited in 1080p. I have a tight deadline for a client and a film growing in length.

From what I have seen + experience there is no difference. Heck I have seen footage shot on Film & other cameras uploaded in 480p that looked better than My 1080p footage. Honestly I have come to learned that resolution is not everything in regards to "Web Viewing"

I would just keep it at 720p for now, maybe in the future we can tell the difference but as of now I say no.
 
720p is pretty much where you'd want to be going. As has been mentioned, there is little difference at the moment, and the playback will always be a little better. Saves some time in post as well.
