We had a wonderful (and lively) discussion about sport last year or so

Shouldn't a sport require some sort of expenditure of energy ? (I mean other than walking down the fairway in the summer heat)

That what about bobsledding? That's an olympic sport and all they do is lay inside little tubes and lean their bodies...

Oh, I love volleyball by the way... my favorite sport to play... along with football...
 
I was too little to play high school football. I wanted to so bad... I was talking with a friend who blew out both of his knees and said he would never let his kid play.
 
ARG! It's all subjective! Golf is something I enjoy very much, and I'd say it takes a TON of skill and talent, and it is a sport... dude, hunting is a sport! That doesn't take lots of physical exertion, other than walking around the woods, and shooting a rifle...
 
I don' really feel like engaging in another fruitless exchange on golf being a sport

1. Have you ever golfed

2. Did you consider yourslef engaged in a sport while you were golfing ?

DId you sweat ? (Other than the summer heat.)

Did you move over 2 mph ? (Other than a golf cart?)

Were you forced to interact or engage woth anothe player's actions? (Or were you playing the course?)

Did you stop after 9 holes and grab a beer and hotdog ?

Did you run into a 70 year old who could kick your ass on the course ?

Gold a sport ?

I have golfed dude. and it is a sport.. look it up :) I don't wanna argue either... its not really gunna solve anything profitable... :)
