"TZ5 like" MJPEG settings for GH1/GF1 hack ?

Hi team,

it may seem like a strange request, but I have a friend who fell in love with the MJPEG rendering of the TZ5, and who'd like to know if he could hack a GF1 or GH1 to benefit of the same "quality", with the ability to use various lenses.

I read somewhere that the TZ5 firmware was unencrypted, and that Vitaly started the GH13 project with a TZ5 firmware hack project.

So my questions are :

- does anyone know the E1, E2, E3 and E4 Quality/Table values for the TZ5 ?

- if no, I get a look at the MJPEG research thread, and it seems that there is a analyzing method in place. Can someone confirm the following workflow which would help me achieve my goal :

- take some TZ5 footage
- extract some JPEG
- analyze them with JPEGSnoop

- try different values of the E1->E4 settings on a GF1/GH1
- take some GF/GH footage
- extract some JPEG
- analyze them with JPEGSnoop

and finally compare the 2

TZ5 has exactly same settings as other cameras.
All the difference is due to CCD sensor
